Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love Essie! Painting nails is one of the things that I have always loved. Most of the people that I follow on Instagram are people who do all sorts of nail designs because I love the inspiration. It is one of my favorite hobbies to recreate the fascinating designs from the people that I follow. If I don’t know what I want for my birthday or Christmas, I’ll ask for nail polish. My nail polish collection is pretty vast and it is constantly growing. I have many different brands from Wet n’ Wild, to Sally Hansen, to Essie. Essie is by far my favorite.Colors: I absolutely love the color selection for Essie nail polish. They have almost every color under the sun and they are constantly coming out with new collections and colors. I do admit that some colors are very similar to others but that still doesn’t stop me from buying as many colors as I can. There are also many varieties to choose from such as, glittery, metallic, transparent, or just a solid color.Price: The price for these is a little bit expensive but when you consider the quality, it is definitely worth it. For one bottle it is between $8.50 and $10 depending on where you get it. The cheaper brands of nail polish go anywhere from $.99 to $5.00 but then you lose the quality and have to work twice as hard to get a less adequate result. It definitely saves you money through the extra time that you would spend fixing the mistakes from other nail polishes. I definitely feel like you get the most bang for your buck with these nail polishes, especially if you can get them on sale or use a coupon. Quality: These are by far my favorite nail polishes in terms of quality. The consistency is definitely my favorite part about these nail polishes. I like that the nail polish formula for Essie is thin but it covers well with just one coat, two works the best for optimum coverage. The formula also isn’t too transparent like most of the other nail polish brands that have a thin formula. I love that these nail polishes seem so smooth, I feel like I could use my nails as a skating rink, if they were big enough. They also seem to slide effortlessly onto your finger nail while applying which I absolutely love because some other polish brands get thick and then it’s strenuous to apply because you get too much on your nail and it doesn’t dry or adhere properly so the beautifully polished nail gets ruined. Essie nail polishes don’t do this because they have a thinner and smoother formula that dries quick enough to have less of a chance of ruining the newly polished nail. Design: I actually love the designs of these square bottles. Essie recently came out with a bottle that is more twisted and I absolutely love those too. What I love about the bottle design is that they fit easily side by side without taking up any extra space and it is easy to see which color is which because their caps are white and you can see the color from almost any angle due to the square body of the body. I also like that the brush and the cap aren’t too long so I have full control of the nail polish while I am applying it. I am also glad that they have stayed consistent with the size and shape, besides the new remodel which is still the same size, because I don’t have to rearrange my nail polish cabinet every time I get new Essie nail polish.Smell: The smell of Essie nail polishes, to me, are actually less atrocious than the usual nail polish smell. I don't feel like I am inhaling as many chemicals while painting my nails because the scent is more faint. Although odd, this is a very beneficial feature in nail polish. I hate painting my nails with a polish that makes me unable to breathe because of the atrocious odor. Essie polishes however, have a subtle odor that makes it more pleasing to paint my nails with.
