Made my nails Flake

It did make my manicure last longer but after only using it twice it made the ends of my nails flake (which they never do) and I had to cut them all much shorter and the tips of some are still flaky.

Amazing buy it!

I normally don't paint my finger nails because they chip within a day. I bought this and decided to paint my nails, the polish lasted almost a week without chipping and my nails weren't stained. It also held my 4 and 5 yr old daughters nail polish on longer than I have ever seen it before.
10/10 would absolutely buy again.

Doesn’t work for me

I love essie polishes as they usually last for at least 7 days for me. This base coat makes the nail polish peel off! Both essie original and gel couture. Not impressed

There wasn’t anything exciting about this product. I’m sure it helped somewhat but it’s really hard to say. The additional sample of polish to use along with this was absolutely horrible in color, so it’s hard to say what the problem was. I haven’t had a chance to do any manicure maintenance to further try this an alternative polish, but I am keeping it around for the next time I paint my nails with traditional nail polish. For now the color street strips have proven to be the easier and more efficient mail wear.

I wish this product preformed as well as I had hoped. I clean houses for a living so my hands are constantly getting wet and bumped around. Most nail polishes don't even last a day so I was excited to try this. Unfortunately it didn't extended my manicure but a few days. This could be because how hard I am on my nails or used errors. Just sharing my experience.

Essie is the best!

I’ve used this base coat twice since getting this product and I am a fan! Essie is one of the best brands out there for nail polish so I knew I would. It kept up well over the next few days until I decided to take my polish off. Kept the polish from smearing when applying. 10/10!

The Essie Here to Stay base coat wis awesome! I tried it with one coat and with two and two works best. I can paint my nails and it lasts about 2 weeks. I used it on my toenails and it lasted so long that I was ready to change the color before I had any chips. Highly recommend

Game changer!

I'm an avid climber and just active person in general and am always using my hands and can never maintain a manicure because of it but this has been such a game changer! I use two coats on top of any nail polish and it maintains my manicure for literally twice as long.

This base coat dries fairly fast, prepping the nail for the color coat. I used this with 2 coats of polish, and topped with a quick dry top coat, as I always do, allowing each to dry for 2 minutes before applying the next. My nails lasted about a day before chipping, so not entirely impressed by this. Just okay.

Long Lasting Wear

I absolutely love Essie nail polish. It has always been my favorite because of the quality of the product. Essie did not disappoint me in the “Here to Stay” base coat. I applied the base coat and Essie nail polish+top coat and I feel like the base coat not only extended the life of my nail polish but gave it a “newly” done look for a longer period of time!

Make My Polish Last Longer

Love this Essie Here to Stay base coat. My polish usually never stays more than a few days. When I use this base coat it easily lasts me two weeks, but I removed it then because I wanted a different nail color. Nail polish never lasts this long for me. The polish on the nail tips never chipped off while using this. This base coat works great, better than any others I've used in the past.

I am VERY hard on my nails. I usually start to get chips in my nail polish after several hours. This base coat has made my polish stay for days! It goes on easily and dries super fast. I used it with Essie polish and they were a great pair

I painted my nails with this about 2 weeks ago. Not one chip in my nail polish yet. I removed it with regular nail polish remover about 10 minutes ago. It came off my nail easily. Highly recommend!

Great base coat

This base coat works great. The brush is the perfect shape, wide and flat but rounded at the end, which makes application super easy. It definitely makes my polish last longer, and protects my nails from being stained from darker colors. I definitely recommend this base coat!

This product definitely gives you a longer wear on your normal manicure. Easy to use and does what it says. I feel like I got several extra days of wear out of my polish, where normally I get chips pretty quickly.

I’m a CNA so as you can imagine, I’m washing my hands A LOT! Because if this, my polish would always chip super fast and it would barely last 2 days. After trying this, I will never go without! My polish lasted TWO WEEKS with minimal chipping!!!

Long lasting nails

The ESSIE - HERE TO STAY BASE COAT is a very good base coat polish that makes my polish out last more than what I'm use to. I always have to polish my nails every few days before I used the HERE TO STAY POLISH. I am so happy that my nails have lasted for over a week, it has a strong smell but it doesn't linger long and the polish is not thick like other clear coats so you won't need much. I love my nails and recommend you to purchase this base coat if you want long lasting nails.

I recently got to try this Essie-here to stay base coat it helps the color of the polish to hold to your nails plus it barrier to help prevent nail staining. My nail color stay on longer after using Essie here to stay. I love this product it works great for me!

Something about me makes all polishes peel off my nails so fast, often times within hours or minutes even. I have tried so many combinations and while some work longer than others this stuff has lasted the longest! 4 days and still perfect!

My manicure lasts a lot longer with this base coat. The brush makes it very easy to apply, it spreads the base coat very well and evenly. This base coat dries really quickly and leaves a smooth base for my nail polish. I am definitely going to stick to this base coat. On the picture I used the Essie base coat and two coats of the Essie nail polish n.112 ‘mademoiselle’. It looks so pretty! Buy it! This product will definitely make your manicure last longer, you won’t be disappointed!

Long lasting polish

I have never used a base coat when painting my nails before, only a top coat and wow this really makes a difference. When using this before I painted my nails my polish lasted much longer than normal. I also felt like my nails looked healthier after taking off the polish then they normally do after removing a week old nail polish.

I tried out Essie Here to Stay nail polish. I read the directions and am not very knowledgeable about nails; but there were many steps in order to complete the process. I did as instructed and after about a week and a half the edges wore off. The nails still look OK if you're not inspecting them.

Really helped my polish last!

I used this base coat and was surprised at how much longer than usual my polish lasted! I used a polish that usually chips after a few days and was able to make it last almost a week. There was minimal wear at the tip and base of my nails . Really very impressed! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

I am so excited about this product, when it says longwearing, it really is! Usually, whether it's a top or base coat anything that goes on my nails never stay on for a day or two. However, this product stayed on my nails for a week and it came off because I took it off. I really like the mademoiselle. The pink is really soft in color, makes my nails look really nice.

When I paint my nails, I'm used to the color wearing off quickly, as well as the darker colors staining my nails for a bit afterwards. Using the Essie here to stay product kept my nails painted for noticeably longer, and once I took the polish off, there was no staining, even with black polish. Overall a really great product if you want to lengthen the lifespan of your manicure.

I have brittle nails so having a lasting paint is hard to find. I used this as a base coat and a top coat over my color. It’s super shiny….and still on after a week. I was lots of dishes and my nail polish never lasts more than a couple of days.

I recently tried the essie here to stay base coat and a light pink nail polish. I want to say that the pink polish is absolutely beautiful and natural looking. The here to stay base coat has really kept the polish looking great. I will be recommending both of these products to my friends and family.

I used the Essie-here to stay base with a light pink nail polish. I washed the car, scrubbed the bathroom and washed sishes and it maintained nail coverage and shine. I definitely recommend this base for long lasting coverage and shine.

I followed the instructions by having one coat of this base coat and two coats of nail polish and I was really impressed that it looked nice for at least 5-7 days before starting to have small chipping. I’m a busy mom so I was impressed with how they lasted after this at-home manicure. I’m looking forward to using with my Essie top coat in addition!

Keeps Color Polish On

I do a lot of cleaning so my hands use different cleaners and this kept the color polish on. It adheres the color without any chipping or lifting the color away. My nails so needed this base coat where my nails looked freshly painted with all the cleaning in many different products. It held up to the submission of many different cleaning products. Great product.

Good base coat, awkward polish color

Actually works surprisingly well as a base coat! Definitely made me mani last longer than usual, but not still had quite a bit of chipping as I was hoping would not be the case. Overall good quality though and very fast drying which is a huge plus! As far as the polish that comes in this kit, I wasn’t quite a fan. It says apply two coats but I found that NOT to work for me and I tried on many different occasions. Rather, 1 coat gives a cute sheer shade that is just a step up from a clear mani. I found that I need about 4 coats for it to look good otherwise. Only had issues with slight streaking/bubbling on my thumbs for some reason (might just be the shape/texture of my nails). Overall a good kit!

The BEST base-coat EVER.

I am obsessed with this base coat. For the last 6 years I have avoided nail polish. I have been using only nail polish strips or vinyl nail wraps because I have not been able to keep polish on without chipping for more then 12 hours. I am admittedly rough on my hands. I work in healthcare and wash my hands 20 times a day. Which destroys my manicures instantly. This base coat is a nail saver. I am on day 5 and have no chips. At. All. The dry time was super fast! I applied 1 coat of base and paired it with 2 coats of Essie mademoiselle. I didn’t use any top coat because I did not have one available. My nails still look brand new! I am so excited to start painting my nails more and doing more nail art now that I know they will last longer! I also love how smooth and clean it goes on.
