Not Lasting.

I love the gel setter top coat, but it was causing my polish to shrink recently. This was recommended as an alternative. My goodness. The top coat does not leave a shiny finish, and there is no lasting power. Polish on Friday, and Saturday there is already signs of wear and Sunday it is unsightly. This is occurring despite the brand of polish in use and efforts I personally make to allow my polish to last.

Last for a day, weakens the nail. Chips, peals. Drys fast and looks pretty for a couple hours but for 13.99 a totally disappointment.

Absolutely Worth It!

I rarely write reviews but this product is worth it! I use this after applying one coat of Essie's Here to Stay base coat and two coats of my holy grail Essie Mademoiselle. I get 10 days out a mani that used to last 5 if I was lucky. I love that it's not thick and gives my nails a pretty shine! I recommend letting your nails dry between coats of color and only applying one coat of this.

Not the best product

i bought this thinking it would make the nail polish last longer but every time i apply it on my nails it takes all the nail polish off i thought maybe i was applying it wrong and waited about 1-2 days two different times and each time it melted all the nail polish off

Misleading, greedy packaging practices

Terrible, greedy packaging practices. The nail polish inside the box is placed to look bigger than it is but when you take it out it is tiny.
This sort of false packaging should not be allowed.

Good consistency, dries super quickly and speeds up drying time for the color underneath as well, and lasts a long time even though I wash my hands a million times a day

I love it when a top coat makes my nails look shiny and beautiful, and this top coat does just that! The consistency of the top coat is nice, it’s not to thick and not to thin so it applies on your nail nicely. It dries fast and doesn’t chip as easily as other too costs so it lasts longer

Good top coat

This top coat helped my nail polish last longer than without a top coat. I found that the best way to use top coat is to paint the top edge of your finger nail (and maybe a bit on the underside of your nail if they are long enough) this way the edge is less likely to allow chipping to occur.

I added Essie top coat the my nail polish and it has done great keeping the nail polish from chipping. I usually notice chips the next day, sometimes the same day, as applying the nail polish. I'm on day 5, I have a few chips but fixing up is so much easier, since there's not many to fix.

The polish is pretty good, it's thicker than I expected and honestly doesn't stay longer. they'd chip the next day. and for some reason my nails felt like they were breaking more often? it's a nice top coat and finish, but can't say it stays longer and i've tried it multiple times.

Smooth and shiny finish!

This is my new favorite top coat! I have several different brands and this one left the best finish on my nails hands down. My nails are smooth, shiny, and look strong (which I feel I usually feel like I can only get that look from the nail salon) The brush was the perfect in-between size: not to big for my smallest nail but not really tiny either. Dry time was only a few minutes. It has not dulled or chipped and is still going strong after a 1.5 weeks on my toenails!

It is okay it could be better. This one just came off too quickly I had to keep putting it on over and over again I didn't like it very much I felt like it could be better honestly. But it's all good I love how smooth it goes on though I just wish it could be more thicker

Great Top Coat

I ordered this Essie Stay Longer top coat about a month ago and I have been using it for about two weeks. I have applied it a couple of times and I love it. It truly lives up to 7 day promise. I have never used a nail polish that genuinely lasts 7 days. I am a mom so I am definitely tough on my nails. This nail polish stayed put even though playing with my children, washing dishes and cleaning the house. It provides durable protection that keeps the nail polish from chipping. I like that it has a self leveling formula that provides an even finish. It also dries very quickly which is nice.

This top coat is amazing. Goes on smooth and clear with no bubbles. It dries quickly and helps the bottom coat not chip. Lasts me about 5 days before I have to reapply. There is hardly no strong smell which is a huge plus. Very happy with this brand of top coat.

Wow! This top coat for your nail polish is absolutely amazing. I have a hard time with fingernail polish lasting more than an even a day or so. With this top coat, I’ve had my polish on for weeks before the first chip. Seriously, this works!

Essie is a decent brand, I think we can all agree. This top coat had decent coverage on the first coat. I wore it for a week before reviewing so I could give a realistic review. It did stay for a while but started to chip after 4 days of normal everyday wear. It is quite average but it's worth the buy.

I absolutely love this top coat it definitely keeps your polish on longer than just going with out a top coat. It seems to make my nails stronger and not so brittle when I use it and it also gives you a very shiny finish I definitely would recommend trying this product.

Really help keep my nail polish on longer

I love painting my nail but even with the best nail polishes it doesn’t tend to last very long so I figured it would be worth at least trying stay longer top coat and honestly shocked how well it worked. I used it with the bold &boulder essie color and to start I would say even after applying it it made the mail polish look a bit extra shiny and it went so smoothly on top of the color without it bleeding or coming off into the clear coat. Usually within a day or two I have significant peeling and chipping but this literally just had a few tiny chips on the tips of a few nails and it wasn’t even noticeable and even three days later I just had tiny chips. It wasn’t til day four where i got the nail polish peeling and it literally just came off the entire nail just peeled off without any issue so I could literally just repaint the nail without having to remove the nail polish and the rest of my nails looked pretty decent still, after day five or six is where it really started to peel and chip and getting my nail that far is really amazing, this stuff actually worked really well. Overall very happy with how well this worked and definitely will continue to use when I paint my nails.

I should preface this review with the fact that most every time I paint my nails, I’m lucky to have 4 days with no chipping as I’m not careful with my hands. With this top coat, I am almost a week in and little to no chipping! I applied two coats of top coat and my nails look great!!! This is a great high quality and GLOSSY top coat polish. Extremely happy with this product and will be getting it again!!!

I have been struggling finding a top coat that was or is actually worth the money. Now thankfully I have been able to find this miracle. I work very hard on my hands and have trouble finding a polish that works. I absolutely love that through changing baby diapers, cleaning with bleach and other chemical that my nail stay strong a brilliant with shine. There has been no chipping and that has been a plus.

I bought this Essie Stay Longer Top Coat nail polish about a month ago and I love it the cream color I have had on my nails is still on hasnt chipped and is still shiny after 6 days. This top coat drys fairly quick I recommend trying this Essie Stay Longer Top Coat

I used an Essie nail polish and then put the top coat on after. My nails look super shiny with the top coat and it has help keep the polish on underneath. There is minor wear and tear such as chipping but I'm hard with my hands so it's understandable.

This top coat is the bomb! 1 coat paired with another two coats of another Essie polish is literally all you need. My nails are sooo shiny even after about 7 days. No lifting until about day 10.

Wanted to make sure it actually did its thing with 'long lasting' clear polish. So always washing dishes 2-3 times a day and playing with my kiddos outside (boys) in the sandbox often usually my nails look horrible or with no shine within a day's to a week. I've had this clear coat on for 2 weeks and aside from a great hint of shine the color is still intact and not dull! Mamas do yourself a favor and save some money honey! Get the Essie! No mess, doesn't burn, adds shine, see the picture below the brush is a great flat size so easy applying!

I am obsessed with the new Stay Longer top coat. This Essie product should be in every girl's nail polish stash. I tried this without a base coat and it kept my manicure in place for five days, so I bet with the base coat, it would last 7 days, though I have not tried that yet. My nails look shiny and definitely last longer without chips with this top coat. Highly recommend.
