Poor Consistency

The first time I used it, it ended up taking almost 3 full days to dry, not even completely dry. I only put on one thin layer as a top coat because the coat seemed very runny, but it still ruined my manicure. The consistency was almost like a goo after it started to dry on my nails. I tried it one more time, and the same thing happened. I have never had a problem like this with a new top coat, Essie, or any other brand. Other Essie products I have not had problems with either; it seems to be just this product for me.

I'm so glad I bought this. It was an impulse buy but my nails have been the in the best condition they've ever been since I started using it. I typically have this, brittle nails. I've been able to grow them out and they're not breaking for once!

I originally found it when I was out of town and looking for their sticky base coat & their top coatto give a friend a pedicure ... ( I always bring my own Essie base and top coats when I go to get pedicures!)... it may have been (?) in a Target or Kroger and 'All-in-one' was all I could find. Who knew?! It works great! But I spend a lot of time in the pool and read polishing nails could help keep my nails from drying out/ cracking. This works GREAT!!! Now I am out and can't find it... I will search on line😁💛👍...

I enjoy that this is an all in one product - it makes the manicure &/or color last so much longer and it’s a lot easier not having to think about which clear coat is base or which is top- or having to use so many different bottles for 1 job. I can use this all on its own or with color and it holds up nicely. It makes a huge difference from using polish alone and makes it worth the time I’m sitting down and doing the manicure myself since I know it will hold up long enough that it won’t look like a botched job within a day or two. I think it would be a great addition to a gift basket for health & beauty items for a loved ones birthday or Christmas- and it would also be good to add to a mommy basket for a self care gift to the expectant mother at a baby shower. I wish more products would combine steps to save time and money- for me it’s a win win!

Finally found one that works!

I have tried several nail strengtheners over the years: LA Colors, Sinful Shine, Finger Paints, Revlon, Kiss, Pro Strong, Sally Hanson, China Glaze, even Nail Tek. Someone on social media recommend Essie, so why not try yet another one? I applied 3 coats and it lasted a whole week! I threw out all the others.

Essie all in one is a great little polish. First use it as a base coat, it helps to condition and restore shine in your nails. Let it dry. Then use two coats of it on your favorite color of nail polish. Let that dry. Then use another coat of Essie all in one for the top coat. Keeps nails looking good like you just got a manicure but did it yourself at home.

Non greasy, not sticky

The Essie all-in-one top coat, base, and strengthener is non-greasy and not sticky. Its easy to apply and as an all-in-one it simplifies the nail polishing process by not having to apply multiple different products. It dries quickly in between applications. It has more of a shiny (not matte) finish and has a thicker (not runny) texture. I cannot say it prolonged the length of time the nail polish stayed on, but it sure didn’t shorten the time. I would purchase this product in the future.

All in one is for sure. You can use it as a basecoat as a topcoat as a gloss I absolutely love it. Goes well with other nail polishes I didn’t experience anything out of the ordinary with this product. Also loved that you can mix and match it with other Essie nail products.

Perfect for in between acrylics

I like to take a break from acrylics every few months to give my nails a rest. While on this break I started using the Essie All-In-One Base + Top Coat and I love the results! It's the perfect double use polish. I like the way it helps to strengthen my nails but also leaving them smooth with a glossy shine to them. I bring it with me to the nail shop and make sure they don't use anything but this!

I loved this all in one Essie top coat and base coat. I regularly do my manicures and pedicures at home and it’s such a drag having to use two separate products for top coat and base coat. I loved this all in one. It left my nails super shiny and I noticed that my mani and pedi lasted longer. This is a really high quality product and I recommend it if you’re looking for a good all in one product.

Ok, so, this is by far the best ever top coat and bottom coat for your nails IMO. The Essie - All in one is salon quality I'm telling ya. This might sound wired, but I like the way it feels when being applied to my nails. The polish has a strengthener in it and it's noticable, love it. When changing polish, it's easy to remove, and don't worry, it's long lasting if you were wondering.

This is a review for essie - all in one. I am glad I had the opportunity to try out these essie products. This went on nice and smoothly. The subtle color from the nail polish was really nice and then using this as a top cot made it really look great.

As the title says, it's a nail polish. I haven't noticed anything particularly spectacular about this particular polish over others with similar claims. It hasn't made my manicures last longer or kept my nails from chipping any more than other all-in-one or base coat/top coat in one polishes. Pros wise, it's a nice viscosity, which makes it go on easily without much mess. If you load the brush properly prior to applying to to your nail, you should be able to get a nice even coat without much hassle (which I can't say for all products in the same category). And while this may not mean much to some, I appreciate Essie's bottle design because it makes storage much easier. While other brands more aesthetic designs may look nice, unless you have dedicated shelving unit or other display for your polishes, storing them can be difficult and take up far more space than necessary. All in all, in my opinion this product isn't something to write home about, but I wouldn't phone it in either. I would definitely choose this over several of it's competitors with similar claims and price points simply for the above mentioned pros of easy of application and storage.

This is a top coat and base coat all in one. It goes on smoothly and dries very quickly. I put it on and then painted my nails and used it for a top coat as well. My nails look beautiful and they are very shiny. I would highly recommend this product and will definitely be using it from now on for shiny healthy nails.

Great All-in-One Base/Top Coat

I am a huge fan of Essie's nail products and also recommend this new All-in-One Base and Top Coat as well now. I have brittle nails that easily get stained and require a basecoat and top coat as well as a nail strengthener whenever I use nail polish. Essie's All-in-One Base/Top Coat is basically the one-stop product that I use due to convenience since it works as both a base and top coat. I do have to mention that this product has a quick expiration date and the formula and texture changes over time. It becomes thicker, less spreadable, and a bit less efficient when it becomes old. It works best when it's fresh, so it works especially well for those who consistently use nail polish in quick succession and not for those who might use it over a long duration of time. Overall, I am quite satisfied with it, but as I'm one of those lazy people who only use nail polish sporadically, a bottle of these usually lasts me quite a long time and ends up with some wasted.

I recieved this all in one base coat and top coat about two months ago. It works great as a base because it keeps the nail polish adhered to the nail better and using it as a top coat keeps the nails shiny and non chipped

The Essie all in one has worked great as a base layer or top coat. I recently took of my gel nails and I feel this has helped strengthen my nails back after having gel on them for a year. This leaves a great shine as well when applied as a top coat.

The Essie All in One polish is great for strengthening nails, as well as being a base coat. As far as a top coat, it needs work. Since it is a gentle polish, it will not last long on nails. I would still recommend this polish for 2 out of the 3 things that it does though.

Love the Essie-All in One. This product does what it says. I've had great results using this as both a base coat and as a top coat. The base coat has a nice dry, tacky feel to it. I feel that this helps make the polish apply better and set on your nails to help make your polish last longer and not stain your nails! I'm very pleased that it is free from the harmful ingredients. I am adding this to my manicure bag and will definitely be a core product. Highly recommend!

I'm always disappointed when I put a nail polish on and within in a day or two it starts chipping and coming off. This base/top/conditioner solves that! I apply it to my nails, put 2 coats of nail polish on top and then top it off with this again! My nail color lasts so much longer now and doesn't chip or come off until I use nail polish remover. My nails also feel much more conditioned as well. I'm always pleased with Essie products and this will be one I'll use all the time.

Super pleased with it being in one bottle. It makes it so convenient having just one bottle and nail polish. I’ve tried a base coat on the top of my nails before and it was more dull BUT this top/base is shiny!!! It’s a win win!!

I have used this Essie All in one for a few weeks now and I love it. I am very pleased with how well this provides a wonderful base that smooths out the ridges of my nails, while providing nurishing ingredients that help in my nail health. I really appreciate how well this provides a wonderful base, while making my polish look so smooth. Best part is I then follow up with a top coat, for that shiny sealed in perfection.

This really is all in one. If it was colored or would be perfect. I applied this before the color and after the color like the directions explained. I let the first coat dry for at least 20 minutes before applying the color coat. I don't think it needed that long to cure but it didn't hurt. I did wait quite awhile for the color to cure and then added the top coat. Entire process was about an hour. I wore this coat for about a week before it started coming off. I think it would have lasted even longer if I wasn't so hard on my hands. Lots of dishes and cleaning. They held up really well for the first few days of abuse. I will be using this again and again.

I have been on the hunt for a good clear base and top coat, I think I may of found it in Essie's all in one. Simply apply it like you would nail polish, allow to dry before applying a color or simply keep it as a clear coat. I noticed that after using it as a top coat my nails lasted longer.

Best I've used. Had brittle peeling nails for years. After a full month of use my nails stopped peeling. They feel stronger and are starting to grow. It spreads evenly and dries fast. The shine is so great I not only use it with colors, I wear it alone. Long lasting and doesn't chip.

I recieved this a little over a month ago. I used the essie all in one for the first time and i did love the shine it gave my nails but i have not noticed my nails getting any stronger yet. When i went go use this i gave it about 2 minuets to dry but i went to go to do my house chores and it had smugged all over my nails. Really nit sure about this product im kind of on the fence between loving it and hating it.

We can see this wouldn’t be the results you were hoping for…this all-in-one is a base coat and top coat in one that helps strengthen while leaving nails with a smoother, glossy finish. Just one coat should dry within 2 minutes, however, after you apply a base coat, two coats of polish, and a top coat, you should sit for about 15 minutes to dry your nails.
