essie is proud to support The Foundation for Art & Healing (FAH) in its mission to address mental health on campus. Through Project UnLonely, FAH is at the forefront of increasing connection and belonging within campus communities where loneliness, exacerbated by the disruptions of COVID-19, is now its own “epidemic.”

Our partnership goal is to activate hundreds of campus-based Colors & Connection workshops raising awareness of the issue of college loneliness nationwide, while offering an effective, easy to implement, and creative approach to addressing it.

Colors & Connection

FAH’s unique and tested Colors & Connection workshop combines the power of artmaking and conversation to bring people together through authentic engagement and interaction. Using digital technologies to enable wide-scale program distribution and uptake, Colors & Connection is readily accessible and easy to deliver. The workshop is in-person and explores the relationship between color, emotions, and self-expression in a safe, comfortable and supportive environment.

“I liked getting to make art that represented parts of myself. I feel like color and abstract drawings help me to express things I cannot express in words.” – Emerson College Student
