Disappointment

Just like others stated, started peeling of the next day. I have used Essie for years but this top coat did not work on my natural nails.

My go-to for years

This is my go-to top coat since a very long time. No matter the polish underneath it, it just makes it last for days and look brand new. I re-apply it throughout the week to extend that 'freshly done' look. Just love it! And also I'm not promoted to write this review, genuinely wanted to help those who are looking for a new top coat! :)

Topcoat made of unicorns and magic

Almost all of the reviewers for this product received an incentive. I haven’t, so I thought I’d post my own review.
In a nutshell, this works. And it works better than Good to Go. Speed Setter dries to the touch in about two minutes and has a lasting shine. But you do actually have to let the base coat and color coats dry before painting this top coat on, which takes about 2-5 minutes for each coat depending on the heat and humidity where you live. I live somewhere both hot and humid, so it’s five minutes per base/color coat for me. Then I paint on this top coat and wait 15 minutes for it to fully, FULLY “rock hard” cure because my lifestyle is the archenemy of nail polish. (Musical instruments, excessive typing, small children, hot water galore, using nails as tools, digging in the dirt, painting, sanitizer, bleach, you name it.) Then I’m ready to go.
And it lasts for the next week. WEEK. Doing all of the above. Usually I show tip wear in hours. I swear, this top coat lasts longer than most of Kim Kardashian’s marriages. Buy it, use it, thank it, love it, marry it, rewrite your will and leave everything to it in gratitude for the long-wearing shine it provides you. Because it will.

This top coat consistently delivers time and time again. 90% of the time I can go a minimum of a week wi the no chips. Then I clip my nails and get a whole second week of wear. I have never found a product like this on the market and will never use another.

This top coat is the truth! I applied it as a retouch on top of a week old set. I went outside and started pulling up weeds in my yard about 20 minutes later (though I don’t recommend this) AND I DONT HAVE ANY DENTS! I can’t believe it! This is a keeper!

Good but peels off

It's the best top coat I've ever had and it dries so fast! But there is just one problem, It peels off.
I would apply two coats on my nail and let it dry then the next day it would peel off!

I had a chance to try this Essie speed setter nail polish. It worked fairly well as a top coat and helped my other polish dry more quickly once applied. It was easy to use and coated the nails fairly quickly. I may purchase this again in the future.

Talk about speed setter! This polish lives up to its name. Far surpasses it also! I expected it to be somewhat quick but this is faster than I ever would have imagined! For someone who is always busy, and a bit impatient, like me... This is fricken amazing!

I absolutely loved this product. I am the type of person who loves doing my nails but cannot for the life of me sit still long enough to let them dry so they don't get messed up. The speed setter top coat from Essie was a game changer for me!! Not only does it almost immediately dry your nails but it makes the polish look so shiny and pretty as well.

Yes! This is everything! I have other quick dry top coats and they all seem to "shrink" after they dry. They leave a messy looking edge. This does not do that. The edges are gorgeous! And it dries in 60 seconds. I use a popular nail polish strip, somewhat like a sticker, I use this over it to keep them from cracking, add strength and keep them glossy. I'm in love and I have added this to my online wish list. Do yourself a favor and buy this!

Speed Setter is kinda speedy!

I never seem to have time to get my nails done and doing it myself at home seems even more time consuming - This wasn’t like a total miracle product BUT I think it does significantly reduce drying time - which is super important for someone like me with a two cats and a 5 year old who don’t allow me much time for anything. I think I’ll buy it in the future ☺️

Amazing top coat

I love this setter, it really does help with expediting the drying process of your polish. I paired it with an Essie neutral colored polish and then used this as a top coat and my drying time was significantly reduced. It left my nails with a beautiful shiny finish in less than a minute. I recommend you let the polish dry at least a minute or so in between coats. It's definitely a time saver for me.

I love polishing my toe nail, but I hate the waiting part. I wanna paint my toes and go about my day. With this product I just put on a layer and by the time I’m done with the first toes are already dry. Highly recommend!

Fast drying, love this product

A new staple for my at home nail kit! My nails dried so much faster after painting them and I was able to use my hands faster - so necessary when you have kids! Not only did it help with drying time but it made my nails look so shiny and professional. I love this drying top coat.

I have used this topcoat a couple of times now, and I absolutely love it. Easy to use, quick dry and it helps the color last at least 3-5 days longer than when I paint my nails without it. I would definitely recommend this and will be making this my choice product going forward!

The Essie speed setter ideally works. I can go from painting my nails one second to going about my day the next. It really speeds up to drying process. It also makes my nails look healthy and shiny. It’s easy to apply, goes on effortlessly and dry super fast. It highly recommend

I got my speed setter in the mail a few weeks ago. It definitely does exactly what is stated. It dries my nails super quick. As one of those people who tend to mess up their nails and hour after polishing them this is a must. I still put my nails underneath a fan in order to make sure they are dry but it is definitely not needed because they feel dry super quick. A good purchase to carry to the nail shop when you go.

Essie Speed Setter is such a huge time saver for me. I love to do my nails at home, but sometimes it seems like it takes hours for them to completely dry. It never fails, I end up with smudges because I have other things to do and of course my nails aren't fully dry. I've used Speed Setter a few times to see how well it worked on one coat of polish versus two coats and how long the results lasted and I'm impressed. If I'm using a color that I prefer one coat of polish, Speed Setter has it dried in about three minutes. If I use two coats of polish, it's between five and ten, it varies on how thick my coats of polish are. It kept my nail polish looking flawless without any chipping for about nine days with both. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a time saving way to do their nails or just wanting to extend their manicure.

The Essie Speed Setter Topcoat gives off a beautiful shine on my nails. The drying time was about 3-4 minutes which was a bit of a bummer. My Essie nail polish and Speed Setter go together very well and besides the dry time, this topcoat does really give a Great shine on my nails and if you want a really nice shiny nail than this is for you.

I'm a super busy mom with family and a baseball son so I'm always on the go go go. I was so glad to try the Essie speed setter drops. They are very easy to use and it actually does what it says and will have your nails dry in a minute or two at the very most. The only tip that I have is you have to apply the drops near the cuticle and move ur finger around to try to get the drop to spread around on all the nail to maximize coverage and drying ability. But it works very well just a little practice in the drop and spread maneuver.

I am super amazed with this Essie speed setter. I applied after polishing my nails and it made dry time way faster than it usually is. I absolutely always struggle with dry time and smudge nails, and this speed setter definitely helped saved my nails from smudging during long dry times. Highly recommended!

I got this for my daughter and I. We are always doing our nails at home. We love the Essie mail products! We love using this Speed Setter when we are in hurry to get nails dried. It definitely speeds the drying time up! The wide brush covers nail perfectly in one coat. The smell is not strong it’s much lighter than some other mail products.

The Essie - speed.setter is a total game changer for me. It is an incredible product. I used to sit for almost an hour waiting for my nails to dry, afraid to touch anything but the Essie - speed.setter has completely changed things. This was my first time using the Essie Speed Setter & it did not disappoint. I had applied a base coat & two coats of nail polish. I let the last coat of nail polish dry for a couple of minutes on its own and then applied the speed setter. It definitely sped up the drying process. I was careful with my nails for fifteen minutes or so but they were clearly drier in that short time using the Essie speed setter than after using another quick dry brand so I was quite happy.
