Quick, easy, and gentle cuticle care

This cuticle remover from Essie works really well for softening and cleaning up dry cuticles quickly. I like how easy it is to apply, and the gel texture stays in place without dripping everywhere. After a few minutes, it makes it super easy to push back cuticles and get that salon-level clean finish at home. It doesn’t have a strong scent and feels gentle on the skin. The only small downside is that it can dry out a bit fast, so you have to work quickly — but overall, it’s a great product that makes nail prep so much easier.

excellent except product application wasteful

I love this product! It works great at removing cuticles, better than any product I've used - is thicker and more penetrating. My only issue - why I deleted a star and will re-consider purchasing again (so is a big one) - is that despite the promise of easy application, I found it extremely difficult to dispense, shaking and attempting to apply a thin line, only to end up with a big clump that is way too much and a huge waste of product. My bottle has only lasted a couple months, which is not worth it for the price! I'd appreciate if you could re-address the tip and application - I am a huge loyalist to Essie.

Quick, easy and gentle cuticle remover that actual

This cuticle remover makes at-home nail prep so much easier. The formula softens cuticles really fast without any stinging or strong scent which I appreciate. It spreads evenly, doesn’t drip everywhere, and starts working within a minute. After pushing the cuticles back, everything looks way cleaner and more polished. I also love that it doesn’t dry out the skin around my nails. The packaging is compact and the tip is easy to control but it could be more aesthetic. Overall it’s super effective and definitely saved me a few salon visits.

I love to do my nails from home, so when I used this product for the first time I was pleasantly surprised and it has become a must-use in prepping my nails before polish!
It’s super easy to use, and has little micro-beads that soften the cuticles without irritation, making it easier to push the cuticles back
My nails look salon ready every time after I use it :)

Well, I didn't have high expectations but Essie cuticle remover gel pleasantly surprised me! It melted the cuticle right off! The only problem i found with it is how much is getting out of it when you are trying to squeeze the bottle a little bit to get the stuff on your nail. It has poor control and gel pops out of the bottle like a genie and gets everywhere. I had to catch it running down my arm. It's inconvenient but could possibly be dealt with with a little bit of practice.

Didn’t mind the smell and the packaging is nice. I liked that it came with its own cuticle pusher. I just honestly didn’t notice a difference really to me. They seemed the same. I haven’t been reaching for it. It’s a step I skip. It’s okay

The product is non scent and very easy to use. Its small including softening and tool push skin so you can bring it everywhere very convenient. It might cheap for have a simple manicure at home compare with done at nail salon.

I was really skeptical at first. I followed the directions to a T. I was astonished on how well this worked. This sloughed off my cuticles in seconds. Mere seconds at that! I usually have to cut my cuticles off, which I absolutely hate. I did not have to do that. They literally rolled off of my fingers. I’ve never seen anything like this before. This did not burn or irritate my fingertips at all. Again, I’m amazed. And to top this off, this made my finger nail polish, super shiny! I will be using this between manicures all the time!

Not hiding my nails anymore

I decided to get my very uncared for nails looking better and came across ready. prep. go. from Essie. I'm rubbish at nail skills but even I found it really easy to use and my cuticles are looking so much better from the first use, the tool that came with it is so useful. I've also been using the apricot oil, to the rescue and good as new, all by Essie and I didn't think my nails would ever look so good.

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review - all opinions are my own. I was a bit intimidated by this set, but it was actually quite easy to use. While I didn’t see salon quality results it did prep my nails well for an at home dip powder manicure and I feel like it helped my manicure last longer. My only complaint would be that the bottle is a bit awkward - it would be much easier to accurately dispense product with a dropper.

I thought this product helped with my problematic cuticles so much. It had no strong odor and was pleasant. The packaging was sleek and attractive. It applied really easily and cleaned up easily after. I think the size is decent for the price and the cuticle pusher is a good quality tool as an added bonus.

A little goes a long way. I used too much at first but figured out a drop or so on each nail is sufficient. Let it sit for a bit and use the tool to push your cuticle back. It helped me between manicures.

I received this item for free for my honest review. I really liked the liquid. I have the worst cuticles in the world and it helped a lot to clean up my cuticles. The tool really don’t help. It don’t remove the cuticle and I ended up using my own metal tool to finish the job.

Worked pretty well

I'm always picking at my nails and cuticles and the skin around my nails in general. I've always pushedy cuticles back just with my nail and then used clippers to cut it all off. But with this stuff it was a lot easier to do. It really helped soften the skin and made it easier to push the cuticles back, the little pusher tool helped too so I didn't have to use my nail. The bottle makes for super easy application. It's not perfect by any means, and $16 is a bit high of a price for me, but for being able to try it out it worked pretty well.

I’ve honestly never really maintained my cuticles so I’m not even sure if I’m doing it correctly but I do enjoy the product! It has a thicker consistency so I would recommend barely dabbing any on each nail. The pusher tool shape almost has a little lip which had somewhat of an upward tilt at the end so it made it a bit hard to keep level and get a good angle to push with but I’m not sure if mine was the only one like that or if I just need more practice with it. I do like that it comes with the tool though bc I did not own one. I feel like I did notice a small difference but again, not really used to doing it.

My daughter is a nail biter so her nails are regularly in poor shape. We recently got her nails done though and they used a cuticle oil that I think this will work similarly like.
