Hi there EJVB! Thank you for sharing your experience with the special effects nail color “set in stones”. We are glad you love the disco mirror ball bling this nail color creates. We’re just sorry to hear removal is challenging. To remove stubborn glitter polish, soak your cotton pad in polish remover, then allow it to sit on the nail for 30 seconds before removing. This gives the remover a chance to soften the enamel and seep below the glitter bits to soften the enamel underneath. Then just gently swipe to remove. You should never need to struggle to get the glitter off. Repeat if necessary to get the last of your special effect glitter off the nails.

I bought this a little while back as a staple glitter nail polish and used it for this wintery glitter ombre paired with Petal Pushers. I keep getting compliments and I feel like my nails are almost too fancy for me when I'm just sitting around the house. I love that it is also a topcoat, but I will probably add a clear topcoat later to keep the glitter from potentially catching on anything.

I love essie, household nail polish name. The one problem I ever have with glitter nailpolish is that its kinda hard to remove. I've tried cottonballs and remover but sometimes it kinda helps to use a base coat to help with tanking it off. I also don't like that its almost six dollars a bottle at my Wal-Mart. I love the color and stay power though. All nail polish chips if you get your hands wet do wear gloves!

Beautiful; glossy color; easy to apply in this coats; does get thick over time however can be fixed with nail thinner. Chips easily however: don't expect it to last more than three days even with a base coat

Let me assure you! Essie is the best nailpolish if you aren’t able to go get your nails done. The colors are so pretty and is not as bad of quality compared to other ones. It is a little pricey but would recommend getting at ulta when there are coupons off your purchase!

This is such a pretty colour! My younger sister in law is a really big fan of Essie nail polish, and she got me into them. I love the variety of colours and how long the nail polish lasts, You're able to find these at pretty much any store you visit, but I mainly buy them at Wal-Mart. I'm a big fan of these nail polishes and I highly recommend these.

I love this nail polish because it’s super sparkly and shiny, easy to apply and there’s tones of glitter inside so you don’t have to settle for sparce sparkles. I definitely recommend and will definitely be buying this again when it runs out and also other sparkle colours!

This nail color is very pigmented and totally worth the price it is a little more expensive then drug store nail polishes but it is better quality.i love the glitter in this polish , it is perfect for the holidays, i highly recommend it

This polish is easy to layer onto itself and other polishes. However, I think the glitters themselves are a little too big and it makes it difficult to maneuver them in a position that looks cute.

Let's talk about getting it OFF your nails

First of all, it did look great....lots of glitter and bling....BUT removal is a nightmare! It took an hour, half a bottle of remover and I destroyed a brand new nail file. Now my nails are thin and damaged because it was impossible to remove!!!

Hi! Thanks for reaching out to us. Sorry to hear your having a problem removing the Luxeffects polish. We suggest trying to soak a cotton ball in nail polish remover and letting it sit on the nail for a few minutes to soften the glitter in the polish. This will help to prevent having to buff too much on the nail. We hope this helps.

Beautiful top coat

I bought this to help disguise an awful choice I had made when I got my nails done. My nails were done in a navy blue and I just wasn't feeling the color. I thought maybe if I found a silver glitter polish it would dress it up a bit, since I was stuck with that gel manicure for the next two weeks. Perfect choice. It made the navy pop. I went from hating my nails to loving them.

This was my first Essie polish. When I was searching for a good silver glitter, every review online listed this one as thethe best of a large lot, and they were right. It makes a nice top coat, or layered on by itself. I never wear it as the only color; it's perfect to accent some of Essie's neons. I find about three coats gets a good bling on. (Colors in pic, counterclockwise from thumb: Set in Stones, I'm Addicted, Vices Versa.)

Perfect Sparkle

I love using Essie Luxeffects in "Set in Stone" topcoat. Just the right amount of sparkle is added to each nail while helping the color stay on longer. It really make any flat polish pop. I use "Set in Stone" anytime I paint my nails with a plain (not already glittery/shimmery) color.
