Hi there reag, It sounds like you've found a "holy grail" color, which makes it even more frustrating when the formula doesn't stay consistent! We get why you love this rich violet with blue undertones…but the texture issue you keep running into is not common for this or any of our colors. Be sure to close the cap well (we’re sure you already know this) and keep the bottle stored away from light and heat. Cooler temps are best for storage. The Essie Wink of Sleep 780 nail polish was a huge disappointment! Not only did it take ages to dry, but it also smudged easily, ruining my freshly painted nails. What a waste of time and money! I expected better quality from a renowned brand like Essie. Especially for a quick dry formula. Save yourself the money and avoid this nail polish.

Hi there Delano22. We wish you could see the results you were hoping for with the color ‘wink of sleep’. While this is not one of our quick dry colors, our classic nail colors should not take more than a few minutes to dry. Even with a base coat, 2 coats of color and a top coat, your mani should not take more than 15 minutes to dry. I find all Essie polishes are good quality. I have never used a purple polish in this time (wink of sleep) and I find it will be best suited for Spring or Summer.

Absolutely beautiful and very unique. I know that seems unlikely, but it is 100% true! Very flattering color and looks great with far more colors than I thought. Great opacity and only 2 coats are necessary to achieve this. Realistically it lasts about a week before it starts chipping. Removes easily and doesnt leave any iridescence or glitter behind. Recommend.
