i love this dark black!! it’s one of the darkest black polishes i’ve ever seen, and it dries down in less than two minutes :) takes about two coats for a fully opaque color

Not comparable to other shades in this line

I'm pretty new to using nail polish but I have purchased 2 different colors from this line I have shade 356( a light purple) and this shade. Shade 356 is lovely dried quick and stayed looking relatively nice for about 5 days a very long time for me as I pick at my nails very frequently and it applied like a dream. It took about 10 minutes to: prep nails, apply, and have the polish be fully dry.
When I saw this black color available I was excited and expected it to have a similar performance, but it did not. I have tried this shade three different times but every time the polish applies streaky, dries un-evenly, and after about thirty minutes of dry time it is still so wet that that if you touch it it makes an indent in the polish even with only one thin layer applied.
I was very disappointed in this polish especially compared to my positive experience with the other shade of this same line.

Not what I was hoping for

I bought this polish last week and decided to use it over the weekend. I only had a limited time to paint my nails as my baby was down for a nap. After reading so many reviews about quick drying and how great this polish was I figured it would be the perfect one to use in a pinch. Well that wasn't the case. I have tried painting my nails two different times and each time my nails are NOT dry and left tacky. The first time I waited a minute in between each coat. A total of three coats since the black left some streaks and didn't give full coverage. I waited before touching my nails and sure enough they were not dry and tacky. I resorted to having to remove the polish. The second time I painted my nails I thought maybe I did the coats too thick so applied thinner. Same thing.... they were tacky, not covering my nail and after waiting more time inbetween coats and touching them after they "should" have been dry they were not and I resorted to having to remove the polish. I am SUPER disappointed since I read such great reviews to only be let down.

I am going to spam every color with a 5 star review to make up for my first 3 star review:
I originally bought a very light color that needed several coats to get the desired effect. I ended up loving the wider angled shape of the brush and the quick drying effect so much that I went back and bought every color. This is the holy grail of nail polishes. Perfect for folks who want to get a quick mani in before work or a night out. Please forgive me lovely Essie people for my previous 3 star review. This product get all my love, please make more colors and I will continue to shout my adoration for 'Expressie' from the mountaintops!
