Start Clean: Ensure your nails are bare, clean, and free of any oils or previous polish.
Apply: Apply two coats directly onto your natural nails.
Finish: Let it dry completely. It features a unique demi-matte finish (a soft, natural-looking shine) and a sheer pink tint. - This product acts as a hybrid between a concealer for your nails and a treatment:
Instant Smoothing: The formula is designed to act as a "ridge filler," instantly evening out the texture of the nail and hiding visible damage or irregularities.
Ceramide Complex: It is infused with a complex of Ceramides that helps to nourish and restore the nail's natural surface over time.
Color Correction: The sheer pink tint helps to neutralize yellowing or discoloration, making the nails look "good as new" immediately upon application. - Even though it provides a long-wearing treatment, it is easy to remove:
Removal: Simply use a standard nail polish remover (with or without acetone). No soaking or scraping is required. - Alone: It is primarily designed to be worn alone as a "bare nail treatment" for those who want a clean, natural look while repairing their nails.

Bottle became thick in 6 months.

I have been using Essie polish for 40 years.I have had the bottle of Good As New for 6 months. I used it a few times. I went to open it last night and it is very thick and almost solid. I would never ecommend this.

Nail Lifting

I’m a huge fan of everything Essie so I was excited about this treatment. Unfortunately, after 5 days of use as directed, three of my fingernails have begun lifting from the nail bed. I have never had this happen with any other nail product, including gel and acrylic. I had not used any nail products prior to this one in several weeks, so I am fairly confident it was this one. :(

Damaged nail

Yikes. I was wanted to give my toenails a break from pedicure polishes and thought a repair treatment would be a good idea. I bought the Essie "Good as New" (from Ulta) and applied to both toenails and fingernails. It didn't improve my fingernails but didn't seem to do any harm either; but my toenails!- Oh, not good. My nails have all turned white and rough and my toenail on one delaminated and fell off. I applied it, left in on for a week as directed.

Quick Easy Perfection

I usually just throw on 1 coat of this to my bare nails and it is enough to make them look healthy and natural in a truly perfect way. I think 2 coats might provide too much color for what I want with this. I’m impatient and messy when I paint my nails so this is great for me. Easy application, perfect natural results. I’d be curious to see what other tones might look like but in stores so far I’ve only come across this one.

Perfect for my needs!

I work in retail, and usually I just throw on a top coat and call it a day. I don't have the patience for nail polish (even the so-called "quick dry" ones), and I'm not spending money on a manicure that will absolutely not be able to keep up with my job. My top coat was running out, so I was looking for a new one when I found this. Personally, having used it for several weeks now, I've noticed less white spots in my nail beds (though could be unrelated). I love that it dries in actual seconds, it makes mess-ups easy to fix. And to that end, I also like how the demi-matte finish is translucent enough to not draw crazy attention to my hands, but matte enough to hide little imperfections that I can't be bothered to fix lol.

Makes my nails look stained!

This product actually makes my nails look stained. It looks like I have just taken off red fingernail polish. And the matte finish adds to that effect. I even put a high-shine topcoat on (as seen in photo) but that didn’t help. I threw this in the trash.

Disappointment

I really don't know what this product is for.
After using the 'Bordeaux' shade for weeks and having long, healthy, and beautiful nails, I decided to try 'Ferris of Them All'. After the first application, my nails started changing in quality. After two weeks of use, all my nails developed vertical ridges, and the tips of my nails started peeling uncontrollably.
I trimmed my nails and began using 'Good As New' – the experience has been awful!
My nails are in even worse condition, it feels like I applied the strongest acid, it would have done less damage than this 'Good As New' treatment!
My experience with Essie so far has been varied. Some polishes are fantastic and don't damage the nail, while others I can't use (they start drying out and damaging the nail plate), so it's clear that the ingredients differ.
I would love for someone from Essie to explain what might be the issue, so I would know what to avoid in the future.
In short, based on my experience, 'Good As New' only causes damage and no benefit.

Don’t feel this worked for me. The application is nice and my nails appear smooth with the product on, but it chips off. Does not last a week . With multiple attempts and applications, my nails are still brittle and flaky.

this is the best nail polish i have ever used. i would spend ten times the amount for this. i recieved so many compliments on my nails and it doesnt chip for so long, and i sew and work on my car and it does not budge. 1 layer is sheer, 3 gives a full nude pink natural look to your nails. WOW it is so good. i wish there was more colors with the same formula. this is the nail polish i have been looking for my whole life. i am so impressed. it doesnt look like i am wearing nail polish it just looks like i have perfect natural nails even more perfect than imaginable. Love this product! My nails constantly chip and peel, so I was looking for something to strengthen them-this is IT! It’s a light, matte pinkish, and I can layer as needed. This barely chips, even though I do a lot of yard work and hand washing. My nails are finally growing!

So you discontinued the excellent, highly recommended Smooth-E base coat and replaced it with a product that has nearly the same ingredients, plus a bunch of pink dye? This is discrimination against people with yellow undertones to their skin.

Great stuff

I’m 60 years old and have had a lifetime of peeling nails that chip easily. I bought this on a whim and I’m thrilled! Usually nail polish peels off within a day or two, but this has stayed on for a week with no loss of color. I’ve had no chips or peeling during that time. Highly recommend for those with brittle nails. My only wish is all nail polish had this formula.

I am in love with this product! I applied 3 thin coats and it is a beautiful soft matte finish that lasted a full week without any chips or damage. I wish Essie would consider making other colors with the same formula.
