This special effects polish in Cosmic Chrome doesn't perform as I thought it would. It doesn't set, and stays tacky. Had to remove and repolish nails. Quite disappointing as chrome powders are messy.

takes forever to dry,not minutes. chips off within a day or two if you even have the patience to let it dry. weak chromeffect. would return if i kept recipt. disappointed

I usually really love Essie polish, espicall any with glitter bc they are so attention grabbing. But Cosmic Chrome is a major disappointment. I have tried it with a variety of base nail color, plain, iridicient, pastel, and just a base coat, it really doesn't show up. And when it does it is just a thin layer of silver (very pretty), nothing chrome about it. It is very smooth and easy to apply, but it doesn't seem to help with chrome's opacness. And if there are any specific technique about using this, I wish it is more readily available bc I cannot figure it out and I have done a lot of nail arts in my time.

This is such a shiny and fun color and pairs well with almost any other color I have. It’s buildable so you can get a subtle shine with one coat or a really shimmery shine with 2-3 coats

I really enjoyed this nail polish and I will use it again! With one coat it’s a lovely sheer wash of color, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Two coats makes it more opaque but still pleasantly translucent.

This color is my favorite it’s not to bright and not dark it’s a nice top color that’s very sparkly and dries the moment you apply. It’s so beautiful it last so long and it’s also easy to remove which I love. Overall I love this nail polish it’s my go to polish.!!!

The bottle and applicator are well designed. The product is easy to apply. I love the sheen of the product, it definitely adds a beautiful effect. However, this product is not quick to dry as advertised. It also bubbles up after application. It was very disappointing. It lasts about as long as other polishes.

*I received this product complimentary for reviewing purposes.* Essie has been a long time favorite brand of mine. This chrome effect is subtle and more of a topper than something to use alone. It is best with more than one coat too to see the effect. I get 3-4 days of wear before chipping.

Adds a solid layer of silver shimmer. With 2 layers, this can stand alone as a great opaque polish. 1 layer over a color gives a cute pop. Love the brush, I feel it's 50% of the reason why nail polishes are great or a fail.

This polish really makes a difference for the top coat , application is so smooth and this doesn’t take long to dry , alone it doesn’t add much color but as a top coat to a color it’s a huge difference. It has actually helped my nails grow and stop breaking off because they were so brittle .

When I first saw the bottle I thought it would be more pigmented however this is perfect on top of another color. It created a cute finish and did not chip as much as a normal polish would. Was quick to dry and I loved the overall look over my painted nails!

I LOVE the rounded brush, it makes it much easier to get close to the cuticles and get a clean look. Excuse the swatches, I wanted to try them out as soon and I received them! They cosmic chrome polish is a delightful sheer color than go be used on its own for a nice wash of shimmer, or used on top of a solid color such as mint candy apple. They dried quickly and were smooth upon application. I would recommend.

The left is without the cosmic chrome topcoat, the right is with. You can see it’s a subtle difference over an existing nail polish color. It’s lasted 8 days without much chipping. It goes on lightly over another color and just changes it slightly. I added a clear top coat over it just to make sure it stays. I do like this cosmic chrome topcoat and it will look nice over a variety of colors. Essie is great quality nail polish.
