Awful formula

I bought this for the first time and have to say I am disappointed. Awful formula it does not cover and had to use three coats which then looked gloopy. I removed it all, buffed nails and tried again, same result. Will not be buying again.

Cute Color, Awful Formula

I adore the color, it's perfect for me. But I have a major issue with the formula. I can never get a nice even coat of polish and have to load on the polish to get an even coat but then it never dries and dings. When I get a good nail though it lasts a long time, so I enjoy that. I purchased another Essie polish and didn't have the same application problems. I wish this color didn't have so many issues.

Hi there! Thanks for the feedback. After you’ve painted a base coat, two coats of polish, and a top coat, you should sit for about 15 minutes to dry your nails. The perfect drying time could vary based on environmental factors like temperature and humidity, so a fan may be helpful in warmer, wetter climates. Although your nails will feel dry after this time, note that your nails are not completely dry for 2-3 hours after painting, so refrain from activities that could smudge your manicure in that time. Essie has changed the original formula of go ginza and that is bad for all who love it.
We ask you to return the formula in that most pink tone. The new go ginza is not to our liking.

Loveliest Lavender

This is my all time favourite nail polish. It is such a lovely, delicate lavender. It is so light, but somehow it never gets washed out. I've been reprinting my nails this colour for the past five months because I love it so much. It works perfectly for every season as well. The formula is great, it goes on super smooth and covers completely after the second coat. Thank you Essie!

Very Pretty!

I bought this a while ago and it took me a while to finally wear it. Once I put it on, I loved it! However, to me it looked much more like a light, pastel, lavender/purple rather than cherry blossom pink. I don't know if it has to do with a new formula or something else, but nonetheless it is a beautiful color. Surprisingly, it was quite opaque and only took about 2 coats to get the full color. I think if you did a thick coat, you would be good with one coat. Definitely a fave!

Described as soft cherry pink, not pink at all. I bought this color and St Lucia Lilac and they are almost the exact same color. So bummed!

Go Ginza was my first ever Essie nail polish. I found it on sale so I just had to pick it up! I'm a sucker for these types of nail polishes! To me it's more of a really pale lilac and in some lighting it is a light pink like Essie has described it. I definitely recommend this polish because it is gorgeous on the nails plus the formula is to die for! It's really opaque so you could maybe even get away with one coat, but I strongly recommend two!

I have absolutely no idea what people are talking about when they say this is the perfect pink. I know Essie has this categorized as a pink shade but it is absolutely purple... I think it is a fantastic spring shade and I have no trouble applying it (i.e.. not sheer). If you are looking for a soft, pastel purple then I highly recommend this shade.

My favourite Essie colour!

I love this colour so much! It's so pretty and cute and looks good with almost everything. Also makes summer seem so much closer... Always get compliments on my nails when I'm wearing this colour. It's also a good thickness - not too thin or thick and dries relatively quickly.

I'm surprised the description said pink. I'd say it's lavender but a beautiful one at that. Goes on a tad streaky but somehow "fixes" itself. Two coats does the trick and topped with the gel top coat it lasts days. I absolutely love this color. May just wear this on my wedding day! A definite for anyone who loves a light pastel lavender.

I have 128 Essie's in my collection, and I've had this one for a while now. It has a slightly sheer formula but it is not hard to apply at all. In fact, the sheerness adds dimension to the polish. I think that 3 thin coats or 2 thick ones cover the nail completely, smoothly, evenly. It is a perfect polish for nail art because it could be sheer or opaque depending on how you layer it. However, I personally think it looks best on its own. This is definitely one of my favorites from Essie and one of my all-time favorite polishes. A nail artist (@pictureperfectpolishblog) on Instagram did some gorgeous nail art with it that I enclosed below.

Please reformulate color back to pinkish undertone

I will give it a 5 star if the company reformulates it back to the perfect pink with a hint of lavender. I was horrified after buying a new bottle. I noticed the difference immediately, talk about dissapointment. I've been carrying my old bottle to every cosmetic shop I can comparing this years bottle with myn and all the sales people agree that myn is clearly pinker. When I want to wear lavender I'll wear my lilacism 304 or my nice is nice 853. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to make my new bottle slightly pinker. In the meantime, I have Raise Awareness 767 or Fiji 152 at my disposable to experiment with. Wish me luck. As much as I loved it last year I will not pick up another one unless it is reformulated back. Also, same with the Lapiz of Luxury. It is now a darker purple. Not hint of blue.

I got this for a gift on my birthday and of course I was exited because I got a nail polish but the next day I put this on my nails It was my facvorite nail polish I own and it still is. It is a nice ell-agent purple polish and it is so pretty and also a nother purple polish I love from essie is play date that is basically the same polish but darker and a little more creamer but I Redmond this polish to everyone everywhere.

I was looking for a matte light purple for spring and I found this color at my local Walgreens. Essie makes beautiful colors and the polish is quality. Go Ginza is described here as being pink, but it's really purple, trust me. I never thought of it as pink even for a second. After two coats, my nails looked like they had been professionally done. I'm in love with how opaque and bright the color is. I have pale skin but the lightness of the color pops against it and makes it appear tanner almost. I am very happy with this nailpolish and I intend to buy more colors from Essie in the very near future. This is the one brand with the color and texture that I hope I find in nailpolish. Thank youu

Saw this color on a girl and asked her what color it was. She didn't know, so I snapped a pic of her hands and swatched 10 colors at the store before finding Go Ginza. This one of my all time favorite color of Essie! Im a huge huge fan of this brand since forever! The story of this color is very romantic, when I got engaged it was the first color I chose to paint my nails with my new ring, it was the first time I used it and I loved it so much that was my main inspiration for the colors of my wedding decor

I'm normally one to stick to the classic red, or dark maroon colors. I love a darker shade on my nails as I have fair skin and lighter colors can tend to wash out and not pop as much. But, this Spring I wanted something different so I thought I'd try out this color and I LOVED it! I bought a bottle for myself the very next day and wear it all of the time. It's a color that has some brightness and liveliness and still pops against my fair skin but isn't too in your face which is great! Perfect color for Spring and Summer...and for those days in Fall and Winter when you need a bright pick me up :) DEFINITELY try out this color for your next mani.
