This was my first time using the Gel couture system from Essie. The V.I. please color is bright and fun. It did chip on the first coat on one of my nails but it was an easy fix. The lacquer offers great coverage and I didn’t need to apply more than two coats. The top coat made it last without chipping! So easy and no lamp needed!

I received this new gel polish as part of a promotion and I was pleasantly surprised!! Wow!! The color is between a red and a wine and looks great on long or short nails. After using 2 coats of the polish and 1 top coat, my nails haven’t chipped in over a week! Essie’s gel polish is the best gel I have tried yet!! A great color going into the holidays, but can be worn year round as well.

Color is a 5 star, for both me and my 3 yr old, but i had hoped the polish would be more durable than it is holding up. All my daughters nails have peeled save for a couple and mine are chipping as well. I’ll give it another go in the future and take more time drying between coats. Perhaps that will help.
