The pictures are not what this looks like (which is what i wanted). it's a pinky white and not sheer at all, definitely more opaque. And I agree with the other posters, it is also streaky. I did a base and top coat and still was streaky.

Disappointment

I’m working my way through Essie’s whites to find a replacement for my discontinued favorite, Sheer Luck. This one is terribly streaky and needs at least three coats and then I might as well have applied Marshmallow. I love a clean looking sheer nail. Essie polishes are generally excellent and Sheer Luck was perfect. Limo-scene is another disappointment. The photos do not represent this polish. It is a streaky semi-opaque slightly pink white at two coats.

I tried doing my toes with this and it looked so streaky and uneaten. So I removed it and tried putting on a base coat first and had the same results. For what’s supposed to be a no-fuss polish, it certainly felt complicated to me. I couldn’t figure out how to make it go on smooth, even with 3 coats

I originally wanted Allure but couldn't find it ANYWHERE so I ordered that from Amazon, and then got Limoscene at CVS...I am in love with this color. It is a perfect neutral pink-infused goes with anything sheer, which I love. I cannot STAND chipped polish, so when this wears, and I'm ready for a new mani, the wear doesn't show like with a darker color. It goes on beautifully if you know how to a DIY mani. This is a keeper, and will be a permanent item in my nail roster.
Essie has way better sheers than OPI, by the way, JMHO.

I just got this shade on my toes at the salon and I am really loving that it looks more like a very pale pinkish white than sheer pink. Finally a sheer Esseie shade that shows up on my skin! (I’m a warm NC25 for reference). The true test will be how it looks on my hands.

Essie is by far my favorite nail polish brand and this color did not let me down. This color is the perfect neutral that can go with anything and be worn during any season. it does go on a little thin so you have to apply about 3 coats but it is worth the time.

Not the exact color nail polish I have but I have several Essie nail polishes and I think they are pretty decent as long as you have a pretty good top coat. They have some really pretty colors as well.

This nail polish looks white but in order to get a white look you need to at least 3 coats. This color is also very nice if you want something very delicate on your nails. I love that you can build on the color without feeling like it’s too much.

Such an amazing formula and amazing color, But I love it it doesn’t chip for at least two week even after putting my nails through a lot hard work. the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars it’s for its price point I have other nail polishes with same quality at a cheaper price.

Went to two stores since it is much whiter in person, and I thought maybe the first store had old ones that had changed color over time. Nope. It comes out streaky if you want a sheer look. Do not recommend.

For the price i had to pay, this product is a watery, murky mess. I had to apply 4 COATS to even begin to achieve a somewhat uniform look. Ridiculous. I will not be buying more Essie products. Learn out to correctly execute a formula first.

limo-scene is such a great color! I love the sheer pink of this essie shade, and it is very versatile, in that you can paint on one or two shades and leave it transparent yet polished for a french manicure, or layer on 2 or 3 shades for a pretty opaque pastel pink. The amount of layers for this color do not matter, since it dries very quickly and prettily (don't worry about smudging or sheet marks as long as it has had an adequate amount of time to dry). Also, I like to update this color by adding a touch of essie glitter on the tips, or glossing on a matte or gel top coat. I would definitely recommend this product, as well as other essie polishes.

Too milky looking and thick

I wanted a soft, see through almost nude. The first coat was too sheer, but the second coat was too thick, and near the nail bed, the first coat of paint thinned so that the color went on uneven. I'd like to return it :/

This is a very beautiful colour, very elegant and understated, but it goes on streaky. I applied two coats and it becomes a tad chalky and flat. You must have patience when applying this colour.

Smokin' Hot love this color! In fact I love Essie altogether. I can get the perfect French with Essie colors. The brush is perfect for long or short nail beds. Perfect strokes strong colors fabulous color names. Haven't met a client that didn't love Essie.

BEST Pink-white color

I got a quick mani at SFO before my flight to LAX and saw this color. I usually use Ballet Slippers but decided to try something new. It is AMAZING! Totally love that it's a little more opaque (2 coats) and a little milkier color than Ballet Slippers. A must try for those of you that like light pink nails. Tre chic!

I bought this to wear in a wedding I was in and it looked absolutely beautiful. It wasn't too dark but just a lovely light shade that went perfectly for the day. I also love it for everyday wear because it matches everything! It goes on easily and can be made darker with more coats.

The color is a lot more white in person than shown on this website. It's also EXTREMELY sheer. I added maybe 3 or 4 coats to make it opaque but then it got too thick so I just peeled them all off after two days.
