Excellent formula although dries down darker

I do my nails at least once a week and I use almost exclusively Essie (I occasionally stray for an incredible color but my collection is 95% Essie), and this is one of their better formulas. I continue to love the paddle brush and found this covered well and self-leveled. On a few nails, I could’ve gotten away with one coat, so if you apply a bit thicker, you may have a OCW on your hands (literally). This is a beautiful plummy raspberry, although I was bummed that it dries down darker than I was expecting. I would love if Essie would put out a color that dries down to look as this does in the bottle, as it’s just stunning in the bottle. I’d definitely wear this fall/winter as it’s too dark on my fair Caucasian skin to feel right in warmer weather, but you do you and if you have medium or darker skin, you may find this reads much closer to what’s in the bottle. Colors tend to pull cooler and darker on me, much to my chagrin. Overall, I think this is a great polish and if you’re looking for a pretty transitional fall or winter color, she’s your girl!
