Stained my nails

I love the color, but it stains so bad! Even with base coat. I’ve tried a few base coats and nothing seems to prevent the staining. I love the color, but it’s not worth the months it takes to grow out the staining.

Hi there Omgitsaclaire, we can see this is not the kind of result any of us want to see when removing nail enamel. Some people are more likely to experience staining from intensely pigmented polish shades. Those with dry nails are especially at risk. You are definitely doing the right thing by using a base coat. You may need to give the base coat a few more minutes to set so it doesn’t absorb any of the pigment. If you see staining during polish removal, lightly buff the nail to remove polish residue from the surface of the nail plate. Color here looks very different from in-person. It’s more of a dark pink with no real brown/orange undertones :(

Gorgeous color, but doesn't last :(

I have personally been committed to Revlon because their polish LASTS but they don't offer enough color options. So I mosied on down the beauty aisle at Walgreens and found Bed Rock & Roll among Essie's wide variety of colors.
The color is absolutely stunning, and compliments my brown skin beautifully. However, I was disappointed to find indentations in my polish after waking up the next day. I polished my nails around noon and probably went to bed around 9pm. Apparently, my nails still weren't dry. Also, here we are a week later - I wore closed-toe flats and have found each of my big toes smudged.
I am so disappointed because the color is so beautiful, but I will be returning this polish. :(

Hi there! We want to understand what happened just as much as you do. All of our nail colors should dry in minutes. A full manicure of base coat, 2 coats of color and a top coat should not take more than 15 minutes to dry. The polish is fantastic but I HAVE to know. Why the name?? At first I thought bedrock the rock but that’s black and gray. Then bedrock like Flinstones? By why roll? Like their car? Someone explain please

I love it! This classic color is the best mix of brown and red. Not a blue undertone - so it’s a great neutral. Creamy color and excellent coverage in 2 coats. The photo is in natural daylight :)

I purchased this color and Rocky Rose and both were much more brown than the images made them seem.
I have fair skin with a slight olive undertone and brown hair. Maybe it's just me. But be warned for if you were thinking this is a spin on red/maroon. Very earthy if that's what you are looking for. But too brown for me

Hey there Officenailsnyc! We want to understand what happened just as much as you do...It sure sounds like you're doing everything right. The color "bed rock & roll", when applied with a base coat and top coat should look great for at least a week. Be sure to use essie base and top coats for optimal wear. Cap the ends of the nail for each layer. And start your mani on dry nails (no contact with water for 30 minutes prior to your mani) Be sure the nail bed has no remaining residue from oils and moisturizers, use your polish remover be sure nail bed is super clean.
