DISCON–Looks To Thrill

I received a bottle of Eddie's Gel couture and am so thankful I did! I always doubted that the at-home gels could possibly compete with a salon, but it did. I did each hand differently, just to see what would happen. On one hand I used the polish and the top coat. It lasted 8 days without a chip, where I am normally lucky if I last a full day without any chips. On my other hand I used a good base coat, then followed with the polish and top coat. That hand lasted 12 days! Not only was the manicure great, but when I removed it, it was so much easier than the salon gel shellac and my nails were also healthier. I wanted to use a different color a few days later, a regular polish, and I used the gel couture top coat on one hand. The hand with the regular top coat (a high quality brand) lasted 1 1/2 days before it started chipping. The hand with the gel couture top coat lasted 3 days before I had to remove it because my other hand was too chipped. I will absolutely be using gel couture going forward.

I got a chance to try out the Essie Gel Couture color and top coat thanks to the PinchMe company. I think this is a fantastic alternative to UV gel manicures. Gel manicures have damaged my nails terribly. These polishes give long lasting, vibrant color with a gel-like mirror shine. My manicures usually last a good 5 days before starting to chip. My favorite thing about the Essie Coutures is the applicator. The color applicator is wider than usual and fans out so nicely to spread color evenly on nails. The top coat applicator is angled which contours the nail bed perfectly. They also dry down very quickly. I highly recommend these polishes and the top coat. I've already purchased several more shades!

I found the nail polish and top coat easy to apply. My daughters came by and jump on using it as well. I would consider this a cheaper alternative to going to the nail shop. The product did what the gel does. Now when I wash dishes I don't have to your about my nails or wear clothes

I bought this as a trial in preparation for a long vacation and didn't want to subject my nails to a real gel mani. I did use my standard essie basecoat inspite of the recommendation to apply the color directly, but my mani still lasted 8 days before it started chipping. I applied 2-3 coats of color (its best to put on a thick coat for the best coverage, but a few nails had thin coats so those got 3) My 8th day involved scuba diving (2-3 hrs in salt water and dealing with the gear is murder on any mani) so by the end of my dives it has started to lift and chip/ peel off. However my pedicure lasted over 2 wks +! I agree w/ others to apply a thicker coat than usual, it dries pretty fast, and I used the gel setter top coat. My only reason for 4 not 5 stars is when it began peeling, it took some if my natural nail with it, which is why I like to avoid real gel in the first place. However it came off easy w/ regular polish remover. Its worth the higher price + special top coat for the fact it really does last and comes off as easy as any other formula. Next time I'll just be sure to remove it prior to the first signs of peeling/ chipping.

Great Polish, stayed on my toes for over 4 weeks without chipping ...however on my finger nails it chipped after a week with dishwashing

I got my nails done today at the salon with this color and it was the BEST decision ever. I get my nails done with regular gel every time I go but it was my first time trying Essie's GelCouture. This color is super vibrant and dries super quick! Definitely a must if you're in a rush and don't have time for regular gel.
